The latest portrait 2015.

I am drawing at Chiba studio and printing at Tokyo studio.

I think almost the same Masaaki Tanaka's world between drawings and prints.
But when I try to make prints, I have to make up my mind for a hard labor.
At drawing, I can feel a "freedom trail" on the paper. I have been dreaming to have a small studio, from which I enjoy the horizon, in America.

I almost finished all wall paintings and design of New Asakusa Station, Tsukuda Express Railways.
I had a surgical operation of the digestive tractcancer, because of my cancer at Nov, 2002.
But I am now pretty well and trying my best to drawing and silk-screen prints.
Right side picture: I made it after returning from the hospital.

I have achieved over 50 prints of American subjects. The most recent work is "Sunset at the river Missouri (which flows in the middle of South Dakota)." The plain, which extend in the middle west such as South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Lowa, Minnesota and Kansas, is very huge. It cannot to be compared with the one in Japan. If we lived here, our view of life would be changed.

Now I am trying to make large size print (3 feet by 6 feet).
Motif is the thicket of assorted trees, Yosemite Valley.
You can see the small size print "The fall of Yosemite Valley" at the center of upper three prints.
